Week in Review - August 22-26

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
I have put together a few photos to show what we were up to this week.  I am still working on organizing photo releases for the students (thank you to those of you who have turned yours in with either a Yes or a No).  Hopefully next week I will be able to post additional photos of students, but for now, you can still see some of what we've been up to.

This was our bulletin board at the beginning of the year.  We've already updated it with student work - we are learning to record our math work.  Come by the room to see what we are doing.

Every morning we have a morning message that is written by the teachers.  Through this, we practice many literacy skills and talk about events of the day.  This is the message for August 25.

We began making a poster of "Sam the Scientist."  We are learning about what a scientist is and does.  We've drawn some of the tools a scientist uses in his or her work.

Here's our morning message from Friday.  We are reviewing our science lesson from Thursday and practicing counting skills.

One of our math workshop activities this week was identifying and writing numerals.

Another math workshop activity was number bingo.  We play many different bingo games throughout the year.

Thank you for checking in on us.  Look for lots more photos and information about our class activities in the coming weeks!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
