Family Fun Friday - WorldFest

This week's Family Fun Friday is a weekend event.  Each Labor Day weekend, Louisville hosts and international festival called WorldFest.  It is held on the Belvedere and there you will be able to taste food from many local ethnic restaurants, hear music from around the world, and learn about many different countries.

I have attended this event for the last several years and each time I try food from a different country and learn more about other countries and the people of Louisville.  I enjoy hearing the music and watching the dancers, and most of all, I like to see the parade of countries where everyone is dressed in their finest and excited to show others who they are.

Another exciting part of WorldFest is the naturalization ceremony, where people from around the world become naturalized citizens when they take the Oath of Allegiance.

WorldFest takes place on the Belvedere September 2-4.  See their website for a schedule of performances.

Have a great weekend!
